Thanks to the very generous support of The George John Livanos Charitable Trust and COSMIC, the paediatric research team has recently moved into newly refurbished laboratories in the Wright Fleming Institute at St Mary's Hospital. This important development has provided the team with state-of-the-art facilities in close proximity to a number of leading research groups.

COSMIC has also funded the purchase of a Gene Sequencer to make analysis of genetic data collected on the PICU much quicker and more accurate.
|
|
|
Future donations to COSMIC will enable the team to apply the most sophisticated molecular and genetic technology to understanding the mechanisms involved in life-threatening infections, and ultimately to enable them to develop new forms of treatment.
